Alyssa Pelzer

Greetings Lockett Elementary Family! I am Alyssa Mitchell-Pelzer and I am delighted to serve as Assistant Principal of Lockett Elementary School. I am a lifelong educator, starting my teaching career in the halls of Lockett Elementary School as a volunteer during high school. I have officially been in education for 14 years. Some of my credentials include a Bachelor of Science from Claflin University, a Master of Education with a Concentration in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University and a Master of Education in Supervision and Leadership in Administration from Charleston Southern University. I have taught in many areas across the state of South Carolina and abroad. Some of my passions include connecting with the community, team building with staff and students, and ensuring that students reach their ultimate potential. I am definitely an educator at heart.

Our focus at Lockett Elementary is a “Dedication to Excellence” in everything we do. As the 2024-2025 school year begins, we hope to work with all stakeholders to reach high levels of excellence. Go Yellow Jackets!
